This is pretty much how I saw this going down: A Seventh Circuit panel - consisting of Sykes, Easterbrook, and Kanne - rules that Adelmann went too far when he earlier held that producing an affidavit was a sufficient work-around to Wisconsin's Voter ID law. The panel, however, did suggest that a work-around might be found that would pass muster. So stay tuned: As of yesterday, Voter ID is, once again, back on the books in Wisconsin.
